After great success Stadco Cooling is awarded 2nd major export order

Stadco Cooling one of Europe's leading suppliers of standard and bespoke industrial water cooling systems is pleased to announce they have secured a second major export order from Saudi Arabian Glass Co Ltd (SAGCO).

Three further closed circuit cooling towers have been purchased by SAGCO to cool air compressors in Jeddah. The first order was supplied in January 2009, which consisted of 2 closed circuit cooling towers, a sealed dual pump module and an electrical control panel. One of the largest manufacturers of glass containers in the Middle East SAGCO are continually building and developing their business and needed to cool more glass forming furnaces.

Back in March 2009, David Watson, General Manager, Stadco Cooling, said: "Increasing exports continues to be a key objective for Stadco Cooling and I have confidence in our ability to grow this and to continue to win new business in such a highly competitive global market."

"This substantial order, won in June 2009, puts Stadco Cooling in a firm position to compete for future water cooling projects around the world. This success demonstrates our customer's confidence in Stadco Cooling's capabilities, expertise and its record of reliable project execution", said David Watson.

Two of the systems were capable of dissipating 2,260 kW when cooling 45 L/sec water from 44ºC to 32ºC, in a maximum design ambient of 29ºC wet bulb, with the third cooling tower being capable of dissipating 1,130 kW when cooling 22.5 L/sec water from 44ºC to 32ºC, in a maximum design ambient of 29ºC wet bulb. The order also consisted of electric control panels and dual pump modules.

"The Middle East is a dynamic market for the UK and after working closely with SAGCO, this order recognises Stadco Cooling and acknowledges our work in producing and exporting leading edge water cooling systems.

"In the light of recent economic events, I'm extremely proud of our people, their commitment and contribution to winning this contract, we're all operating in such turbulent trading conditions and their dedication, tenacity and attention to detail is achieving results. I would also like to thank our key supply base in the UK for the continual support we receive," says David Watson.

Ramesh Ashar, Finance Manager, SAGCO, said "There was a long and detailed process to go through to win this business and we are delighted to award the contract to Stadco Cooling. They won this against stiff competition. Our relationship is a great example of how two businesses with Middle East and UK operations can work together to develop successful business partnerships."
