Heat Recovery
Custom designed to maximise heat recovery from a water cooling system, heat recovery systems form part of the extensive portfolio of packages available from Stadco Cooling.
A major source of untapped waste heat in many situations is the water from an industrial cooling system. These systems frequently contain low grade, but usable heat, from an industrial process of sometimes high grade heat in cooling water.

Key Benefits (select a heading to read more)
- Heat reclaim can be achieved with a relatively low cost water-to-water heat exchanger
- High return and short pay-back period
- Savings in the escalating costs of fuel for primary heating
- Recovers wasted energy for free hot water
- Substantially improves energy utilisation
- Lessens environmental impact
- Capability of providing sufficient reclaimable heat to raise water up to 45 degrees centigrade
- The reclamation of heat is always better suited to sealed type systems, where the water flow is controlled and there are no scaling or corrosion problems to deal with
- The main cooling system can work independently when heat recovery systems, fitted with isolating valves which can be closed, are built into a by-pass loop in the cooling system
- The application for the re-use of heat can be used to preheat boiler feed water or process fluids
- Heat can be extracted and re-used to warm ventilating air circulated through factory areas or to temper incoming fresh air for ventilation purposes
